THIRD WEEK

OCTOBER 13th - TUESDAY

We continue learning about drill activities. It is important to say that a Drill is an activity that is based on repetition. It is widely used by teachers to teach stidents a languae in a funny way because children learn without realizing it. There are different types of drill:

• Reverse drill
• High or low drill
• Quiet drill or loud drill
• Nasal drill
• Tripet drill
• Emotional drill 
• Character drill
• Rythmical drill

Each of these types has its own characeristics, but the final purpose is always the same.

In addition, we learned more methods to teach English:

    - Communicative language teaching: his principal object is to organize the learning process according to the semantic contents in order to achieve a proper and effective way of communication.

    - Suggestopedia: this method defends a more original teaching, creating a better atmosphere in class through music or relaxation so that students learn better.

    - Silent way: learning a language does not consist on repetition or imitation but the work of proper mental mechanisms. 

OCTOBER 14th - WEDNESDAY

We finished talking about ELP and to verify that we had understood its characteristics and to be able to consolidate this knowledge, we all played Kahoot together (Kahoot is a very fun tool to use in class and in which students must pass a series of questions to win). 

The best thing about this class was that I WON!!!!!!

OCTOBER 15th - THURSDAY 

We shared our opinions in a forum about the following photo:

I found it to be a very interesting activity because we observed that not everyone always has the same thought about somethin and we also appreciate how a simple phrase can mean a lot to someone.

My comment in the dorum was that if a student is motivated, then he will learn more and the results will be better.

THIS WEEK HAS BEEN A LITTLE SHORTER BUT DON´T WORRY, NEXT WEEK THERE WILL BE MORE!!!!
